The question that started it

Hey guys, was wondering, how long did it take you to come up with your company/brand name? Currently in that process and I feel like in the tech/AI world seemingly anything that sounds remotely good and rememberable is already taken or there is another company sounding too similar. Would be super interested to know what your experience with this topic is.

A wellness app that reads your wearable data and adapts movement and mindfulness sessions to what your body needs that day.

biohugs is the nicer version of biohacks. Being hacked is bad. Being hugged is good.

Anori Tech

Hamburg deep-tech building configurable battery management systems, so battery pack makers can develop faster and cheaper.

• We started with sailboats, so I asked Perplexity to give me 30 verbs and nouns around water, sailing and sea in different languages. I did this a few times. One of the words was "Anori", which means wind in Greenlandic.
• We wanted a word that is not tied to a specific business in case we need to pivot. Back then we didn't quite know where we were going to land.
• We wanted a name you can easily spell and understand on the phone. Often people only hear about it verbally and don't see the writing itself. I had a brand before with a weird spelling that sounded cool but was hard to find again online.
• We added "Tech" because Anori itself was taken already. However, we made sure that the brands using it weren't in the battery space.
• That it starts with an A is a nice side effect, often putting us at the very top of lists.
